Home delivery of oxygen in Delhi: If you need oxygen in home isolation, you can apply online; This system starts today

The Kejriwal government has announced a major relief in the Corona epidemic amid deteriorating conditions in Delhi hospitals and lack of oxygen. The government has said that Corona patients who need oxygen in home isolation can apply on the government website delhi.gov.in. For this, valid photo ID, details of Aadhaar card and report to be corona positive will have to be given.

Delhi model of oxygen supply

• If patients need oxygen in home isolation, they can register on the portal https://delhi.gov.in/.  Other documents such as Aadhaar card, or any valid photo ID, Kovid positive report, CT scan, will also have to be submitted for registration.

• The DM concerned will be engaged by sufficient staff to check the online applications received for oxygen.  These employees will issue e-passes to the applicants on priority basis.

• The DM will identify such depots and dealers, who will work only to deliver oxygen to the patients.  Such patients cannot be asked to reach the plant under any circumstances.

• The DM will make sure that oxygen dealers can get their cylinders refilled daily at the fixed plant.

• Depending on the availability of oxygen, DMs will issue passes with date, time and place, so that oxygen cylinders can be replaced or delivered at the depot.  Before issuing passes, DMs will ensure that oxygen cylinders are available.

• The DM will decide that adequate supply of oxygen is made to the needy in a just and equitable manner.  Non-Kovid hospitals, nursing homes, ambulances and SOS cylinders operating on oxygen should also be properly supplied.

Case of oxygen shortage reached court

Many Corona patients are losing their lives due to lack of oxygen in Delhi. The Kejriwal government is constantly requesting the Center to supply oxygen to Delhi. The case reached the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court. The matter is still to be heard in the Supreme Court, where the Central Government will present its reply. The court had on Wednesday asked the central government to tell Delhi a plan to supply 700 metric tonnes of oxygen.

Center reached the Supreme Court against the contempt notice

The Delhi High Court issued a contempt notice, slamming the central government for not complying with the May 2 order to supply 700 metric tonnes of oxygen to the Delhi government. The Center reached the Supreme Court on Wednesday against this notice.
